This game isn’t completely easy to recommend. If you didn’t like the first DJ Hero than you won’t like this one. It adds new modes and gameplay additions but its essentially the same. It adds the ability to freestyle to a certain extent but its always limited and its very short. You now play against other A.
DJs during certain segments of the game and everything is done by trying to get through as many checkpoints with the least errors. There is even some tracks that allow you to utilize a mic. There isn’t too many but its a nice addition. The track list is great but can be argued less intriguing as the last but it will satisfy fans of the first game. The presentation is much different but a bit more streamlined with everything in front of you to be able to pick the different modes available from single tracks to megamixes.
It doesn’t graphically look too much different than the last but the lighting is a bit more improved and there is more of it.
If your a huge fan of the first than I would say pick it up. If you thought the first was ok than just wait for a price drop. One person found this helpful. Clean case, had the booklet and the disc was in great condition. The only scratches were on the new tracks of the game. Great follow up to the original, with a slightly inferior soundtrack. A very good game. Very enjoyable to play by yourself or with a group of friends.

I was a fan of the first DJ Hero. This second installment in the hopefully continuing DJ Hero series is an improvement over it’s predecessor. My only complaint about this game is it doesn’t pack as much of a punch as the original mix-list.
Not to say this game doesn’t have some very good mixes, because it certainly does, but it seemed to stray more toward the pop genre rather than keeping it hip hop.
It’s not a big let down, but still I find myself bobbing my head to the beat alot less in this game than I did in the original. Then there’s the new features such as the ability to use 2 turntables, a mic, and the added freestyle sections that let you add your own little flavor to certain mixes that make this one stand apart from the original. If you enjoyed the first game, you most likely will enjoy this one as well.
The added features give something new and the tracklist can change the experience. My granddaughter plays this game all the time. The new format takes a little getting used to, but still a great game. The introduction of the party mode is a very nice addition.
There needs to be way more hip hop tracks mixed with JUST hip hop music. There needs to be much more music period! Not just getting people to buy DLC. And then the DLC isn’t all that.
DJ Hero 3 needs to allow you to upload your own music library from your hard drive. That would own! Sorry to rant I just think this game series can be so much more.
I like the good music plus this time you really get an opportunity to mix the tracks how you want in short and selected parts of the game, love the freedom added to this. DJ Hero 2 made some great improvements on an already awesome game.
I love this game! With up to date music, additional downloads, and new features such as controlling the tracks, this game makes my Wii music parties always a success! My sister loved this game. As do I. Especially like the karaoke addition.
